Safe sparring gloves for fun?
I like to fight, but its all games until someone loses an eye, or in this case, until someone takes a solid shot to the face. its usualy my younger brother,
so basically are there any foam boxing gloves that dont inflect much damage but also knock people down, not boxing gloves, thoose hurt. somthing like thoose socker bopper things so we can go all out but still walk afterwards

I think you are to quick to rule out boxing gloves especially if you were using the lighter weight ones without a headgear. Most fights take place with an eight or ten ounce glove and many people buy a twelve or fourteen ounce glove because they think it is so much bigger than the eight or ten ounce ones you see fighters using. Those you can even make pretty hard contact with and hurt someone. You should consider a twenty ounce glove which they sometimes refer to as a powder-puff glove. That and a decent headgear for full contact sparring really gives you the best protection I think. Check out Ringside for the head gears. They have several in the forty-five to fifty dollar price range that are very good. Century makes a slip on twenty ounce boxing glove that is not bad for the price or you can go with one from Ringside with velcro closure for about twice the price. Century also makes a head gear with a hard plastic removable face mask that is fairly cheap that is great for not taking face shots but the padding for the head is not as good. Ringside does carry a really good headgear with a padded steal bar across the face but they are pretty expensive.
